In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, olive oil and salt. Stir in the yeast mixture until well blended.
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down. Roll out on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Place on an ungreased 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet.
Fill with desired toppings and bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
