- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and set aside for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the milk, sugar, salt and flour. Mix until combined.
- Add the yeast mixture and beaten egg. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and form into 12 rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet.
- Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake in preheated oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
