Crispy Onion Rings
Ingredients
  • 1 large onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps
  1. Place the onion rings in a bowl and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix until blended.
  3. Pour the milk into another bowl.
  4. In a third bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and vegetable oil.
  5. Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture. Then dip it in the milk. Finally dip it in the bread crumb mixture.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add enough oil to lightly coat the bottom of the skillet.
  7. Fry each onion ring for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off excess oil.
