- 1 large onion, sliced into rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Place the onion rings in a bowl and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix until blended.
- Pour the milk into another bowl.
- In a third bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and vegetable oil.
- Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture. Then dip it in the milk. Finally dip it in the bread crumb mixture.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add enough oil to lightly coat the bottom of the skillet.
- Fry each onion ring for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off excess oil.
