- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 4 (6-ounce) fish fillets, such as cod or haddock
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dip each fish fillet in the egg mixture and then dredge in the flour mixture.
- Place the fish onto a plate and set aside.
- Heat 1 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees F.
- Gently add the fish to the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through. This should take about 4 minutes per side.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Serve hot.
