Crispy Fried Fish
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 4 (6-ounce) fish fillets, such as cod or haddock

Steps
  1. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  3. Dip each fish fillet in the egg mixture and then dredge in the flour mixture.
  4. Place the fish onto a plate and set aside.
  5. Heat 1 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees F.
  6. Gently add the fish to the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through. This should take about 4 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer to paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  8. Serve hot.
