- 1 large onion
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 cup beer or club soda
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the onion into 1/2-inch thick slices and separate into rings.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Pour the beer or club soda into another shallow bowl.
- Dip each onion ring into the beer or club soda, then dredge in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Flip each ring over and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
