- 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2 minutes per side.
- Add white wine and chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour until smooth. Cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 3 minutes or until thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Pour sauce over shrimp and simmer for 2 minutes or until heated through.
- Serve over cooked pasta of your choice.
