- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups fresh corn kernels, divided
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour, and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened.
- Stir in 1 cup of the corn kernels, salt and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining 1 cup of corn kernels, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
