Ingredients
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices of thick-cut white bread, such as brioche or challah
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided

Steps
  1. Whisk together the eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  2. Soak the bread slices in the egg mixture for about five minutes on each side.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place two slices of the soaked bread into the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Repeat with remaining butter and bread slices.
  5. Serve with desired toppings and/or syrup.
