Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and both sugars with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown.
