- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 350°F.

- In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla; beat until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
- Press dough into an ungreased 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool completely before serving.
