- 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
- 1 teaspoon urad dal
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
- Salt to taste
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add urad dal and mustard seeds. Fry until the mustard seeds splutter.
- Add the chopped green chilies and fry for a few seconds.
- Add the grated coconut and fry until it turns golden brown.
- Add the tamarind paste and salt to taste. Mix well.
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
