Classic Strawberr…
Ingredients
  • 1 9-inch pre-baked pastry shell
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup water

Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  2. Stir in the water until smooth.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  6. In the pastry shell, arrange the sliced strawberries.
  7. Pour cooled sauce over the top of the berries.
  8. Chill for at least 1 hour in refrigerator before serving.
