Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 apple - peeled, cored and chopped

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk; stir just enough to moisten the dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in walnuts and apples.
  5. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven, or until done.
