- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, oil and egg.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just blended.
- Add the cinnamon and stir until blended.
- Heat a waffle iron and lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Pour enough batter onto the hot waffle iron to cover it. Close lid of waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
