Ingredients
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt and yeast. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, butter, eggs and oil. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it is smooth.
  2. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place for an hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan. Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll out into an 18x12 inch rectangle.
  4. Mix together 1/3 cup of melted butter with 2/3 cup of brown sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Spread this mixture evenly over the surface of the dough.
  5. Cut into 12 strips lengthwise and then cut each strip into 4 pieces crosswise. Place each piece in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise again for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
