- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in buttermilk, oil and egg until just blended.
- Fill each well of the donut pan 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan.
- Roll donuts in melted butter and then in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm.
