Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, beaten

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in buttermilk, oil and egg until just blended.
  3. Fill each well of the donut pan 2/3 full with batter.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan.
  5. Roll donuts in melted butter and then in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Serve warm.
