- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 6 tablespoons melted butter, divided
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk and 4 tablespoons of melted butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Heat a waffle iron and brush with remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
- Scoop about 1/3 cup of batter onto preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Repeat with remaining batter.
- Serve warm.
