Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter, divided

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk and 4 tablespoons of melted butter.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a waffle iron and brush with remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
  5. Scoop about 1/3 cup of batter onto preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Repeat with remaining batter.
  7. Serve warm.
