- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, oil and eggs.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan and transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
