- 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Place the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lime juice, olive oil, water, cilantro and cumin in a food processor and process until smooth.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with pita chips or vegetables for dipping.
