- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Preheat your waffle iron.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, sugar and salt.
- Add the buttermilk and oil and stir until combined.
- Scoop about 1/3 cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close lid and cook for about 4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining batter.
