- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Mix in the chocolate chips.
- Press into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes in preheated oven.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
