Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add the sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites until combined.
  5. Spoon into individual serving dishes and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
