- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, egg, butter and buttermilk.
- Mix in the flour until just combined.
- Fill the donut pan with batter and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before glazing.
