- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, oil, vanilla and buttermilk.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until well blended.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
- Cool in pan before serving.
