- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Shape dough into walnut sized balls and roll them in powdered sugar.
- Place cookies 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets and flatten slightly.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
