Ingredients
  • 2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. Stir in the 3/4 cup melted butter until moistened.
  4. Press into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan.
  5. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and remaining butter over low heat; stir until smooth.
  7. Spread over warm crust; cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Cut into bars.
  9. Notes: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
