- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before cutting into bars.
