- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the beef until no pink remains.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes or until vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), tomato sauce and beans. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve with desired toppings.
