Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir onion until tender.
  3. Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl; stir into the onion mixture.
  4. Gradually stir in chicken broth and milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  5. Stir in chicken and vegetables.
  6. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 25 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
