Cherry Pie
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the butter, flour, sugars, cornstarch, salt and cinnamon.
  3. In a 9 inch pie plate, spread the cherry mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the flour mixture over the cherries and mix lightly.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Let cool before serving.
