Cherry Pie Filling
Ingredients
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) tart cherries, drained
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, stir together the cherries, sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils.
  3. Stir in almond extract.
  4. Cool before using as a filling for pies or other desserts.
