- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cherries, sugar and water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the cherries are softened.
- Remove from the heat and let cool before serving.
