- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
- 1 can (15 oz.) refried beans
- 1 can (10 oz.) diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 8 flour tortillas (6-inch)
- In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix; set aside.
- Spread refried beans over the bottom of a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture; sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
- Top with layers of half each of the tomatoes, tortillas and remaining beef mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.
- Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
