Ingredients
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease a 2 quart baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Stir in flour until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  5. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in cheese and salt until cheese is melted.
  7. Arrange potatoes in prepared dish; pour cheese sauce over potatoes.
  8. Bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
