Cheesy Pizza Past…
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz uncooked penne pasta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink; drain.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar and pepper; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  6. In a greased 2-qt. baking dish, layer half of the pasta and meat sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
  8. Repeat layers.
  9. Bake uncovered at 375°F for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
