- 3 lb. potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, sour cream, milk, cheese, salt, and pepper; mash until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in bacon bits.
- Serve warm.
