- 4 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and return to pot.
- Add butter, sour cream, cheese and salt. Mash together until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve hot.
