- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink.
- Add onions and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread 1/3 of the sauce mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange half of the cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles and top with 1/3 of the remaining sauce mixture.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, ending with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
