- 2 pounds frozen hash brown potatoes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 pint sour cream
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, onion, butter, soup, sour cream, 1 1/2 cups of cheese, salt and pepper.
- Spoon into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and the bacon.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
