- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup warm water
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Add the flour and baking powder; stir until well blended.
- Add the warm water to the flour mixture and stir until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
- Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope about 1/2 inch thick. Place on prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each breadstick with the butter mixture. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
