- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small cubes
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the cheese and milk until just combined.
- Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
