- 4 cups cooked white rice
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 2 cups broccoli florets, cooked
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, chicken, broccoli, and onion.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer. Cook until thickened. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the rice mixture and stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
