Cheesy Bacon Bisc…
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender or fork until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheese and bacon.
  5. Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.
  6. Drop heaping 1/4-cup portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm.
