- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 24 asparagus spears, trimmed
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cut bacon slices in half crosswise.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper; mix well.
- Wrap one piece of bacon around each asparagus spear. Place the bundles on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until bacon is crisp.
- Serve hot.
