- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 3 cups frozen tater tots
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt and pepper, cream of mushroom soup and tomato sauce.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread 1 cup of cheese on the bottom.
- Cover with a layer of tater tots.
- Spread meat mixture over tater tots.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
