Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 3 cups frozen tater tots

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, salt and pepper, cream of mushroom soup and tomato sauce.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread 1 cup of cheese on the bottom.
  6. Cover with a layer of tater tots.
  7. Spread meat mixture over tater tots.
  8. Top with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
