- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in milk and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
- Serve over nachos.
