Chapati
Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
  2. Add the oil and stir until it is well-combined.
  3. Add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 8 minutes, adding more flour if needed.
  5. Cover and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin round.
  7. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place one chapati in the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Flip the chapati over and cook for an additional minute or until lightly browned. Repeat with remaining chapatis.
