- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
- Stir in the warm water and oil.
- Knead until smooth.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
- Punch down dough.
- Shape into 2 loaves and place into greased 9x5 inch loaf pans.
- Let rise for about 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
